The Impact of Social Determinants on the Health and Well-Being of Baltimore's Communities: A Plan for Action
Speaker:
Leana S. Wen, MD, MSc, FAAEM
Commissioner, Baltimore City Health Department
While 97 percent of health care costs are spent on care delivered in hospitals, only 10 percent of what determines life expectancy takes place within the four walls of a clinic. Where we live, work, and play drives health and well-being. Dr. Wen will outline the Baltimore City Health Department's innovative blueprint for combating health inequities and improving the well-being of all residents.
